Refund policy

1. ORDER CANCELLATIONS & MODIFICATIONS

Our fulfilment process begins immediately after an order is received, we will try our best to resolve your query, but if the order has already been processed, we may not be able to accommodate your request. Please email (info@standard-beauty.co.za) or call us (0635872734) immediately.

All confirmed orders will be subject to our return policy.


2. RETURNS & REFUNDS (Purchases From Website, App & Standard stores Only)


1.1 Faulty or damaged items, fulfillment errors
We are committed to customer satisfaction and really sorry to hear this! In the unlikely event that you have received a faulty or damaged item or had a fulfillment error, please get in touch with our support team here within 30 days of the delivery date. We will will do our best to resolve that matter as quickly as possible. 

In the event that you have received a faulty item, please contact us immediately with the following information:
• Your order number or proof of purchase
• Which item(s) is/ are damaged
• Photographic evidence and description


Please do not send back the damaged goods, unless advised by a member of our support team, it may result in a slower resolution time. Unless proof of damage has been verified by a member of the support team, we cannot action a replacement.



1.2 Returning of unopened products (store credit/exchange only)

Should you wish to return your products, please contact us at info@standard-beauty.co.za within 7 days of receiving your order, providing your order details and explaining the reason for your return. To qualify for a return, the item must remain in its original, unopened, and unused condition, with its packaging intact (i.e., in a security seal unopened). If we approve your return, kindly return the unopened items to us within 7 days of receiving your order. Shipping for the return  is at the customer’s expense and the customer will be required to arrange their own shipping. You need to add the form inside the order that will be emailed to you.


Please note the following terms & conditions

  1.  Sample sizes cannot be returned/refunded. They are excluded from this policy 
  2. A return & restock fee of R 75 will be charged for returns. This will be deducted from your final refund.
  3. Shipping cost for the return will be on the customer's expense. The customer will be liable to ensure the package is traceable, as Standard Beauty will not be liable for returns that get lost in the mail or sent to the wrong adress.
  4. Some of our packaging consists of glass. In the event that the return arrives broken, Standard Beauty cannot be held liable and the refund cannot be processed.
  5. Original shipping cost (from us to you) will not be reimbursed and will be subtracted from your refund (even if you were eligible for free shipping.)
  6. This only applied to orders purchased from our website. For orders purchased from 3rd parties, please see below (Point 3)
  7. Returns for orders paid by gift cards will be processed to a new gift card that will be emailed to the customer’s original email

Please allow up to 10 business days once your return has arrived back to us to inspect and authenticate the item(s) and process your refund.  Refunds will be issued as store credit excluding original shipping charges and restock fee.

1.3 Returning of used/opened products
Due to the nature of the product, unfortunately we are unable to offer any returns or exchanges for opened products.

We recommend customers thoroughly review the ingredients list provided on our product packaging and website to identify any potential allergens or irritants that may cause an adverse reaction.

In the event of an allergic reaction or skin sensitivity, we advise customers to discontinue use immediately and consult with a medical professional. Due to the individual nature of allergies and sensitivities, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds for such cases.



3. RETURNS & REFUNDS (Authorized Retailers)

If you purchased through any of our authorized retailers or sales outlets (e.g. Takealot, Superbalist, EGG), please contact them for assistance. Unfortunately we cannot assist with refund or returns from authorized resellers. 


4. Miscellaneous 

Receiver not available Please ensure, you are available via the provided contact methods either on e-mail or/and phone. Occasionally, the Couriers will try and contact you to arrange the delivery. Should there be multiple contact attempts from the Couriers or Standard Beauty and the receiver is not responding, please note that the courier has to return the parcel to our premises. 

The cost of re- issuing the parcel due to unavailability of the customer/receiver will be at the cost of the customer. Should you wish to cancel your order after the order got returned to us, please note, that the incurred shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount.

Stock availability In the event that an item becomes unavailable, Standard Beauty reserves the right to cancel your order or items within your order at any time. We will provide a full refund, back to your original form of payment. You will be notified via email of any orders or items we cannot fulfil and have refunded.

Compliance with Applicable Laws: This return policy is in compliance with all applicable consumer protection laws and regulations.

Modification of Return Policy: Standard Beauty reserves the right to modify or update this return policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes to the policy will be posted on our website and will apply to all purchases made after the date of the policy update.

Please note that by making a purchase from Standard Beauty, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms and conditions of this return policy.
